As the Head Greeter for the Islam on Campus Fast-a-thon, I managed a volunteer team responsible for welcoming and seating approximately 400 guests. My primary task was to ensure a seamless flow of movement and prioritize seating for reserved guests, which required constant coordination between the organization's board members and my team. I utilized active listening and quick problem-solving to curate seating charts on demand and resolve real-time logistical challenges. By maintaining clear lines of communication and thinking on my feet, I ensured that every guest was seated efficiently, resulting in a professional and successful banquet.

While conducting my research on Middle Eastern technological advancements, I was tasked with synthesizing vast, often conflicting data to identify barriers to technological adoption. I applied situational awareness to gather diverse information and prioritize key cultural and political factors that influenced student perceptions. By identifying core values and determining the logistics for a survey-based study, I was able to develop a comprehensive research project. This critical approach resulted in a study that actively promotes more diverse and inclusive education within the United States.

In my role as a Youth Program Coordinator for the Summer Youth Symposium, I mentored students aged 6–20 through various academic projects. My goal was to guide their progress while helping them build professional confidence and a strong sense of self-advocacy. I acted as a role model by demonstrating a consistent work ethic and using student feedback to adapt my mentorship style to their unique needs. By tapping into each student's personal drivers, I helped them develop their "speaker voices" and public presentation skills. As a result, the students showed a marked increase in confidence and successfully presented their work at the conclusion of the symposium.

As a founding member and teacher at Masjid Al-Nur, Inc., I collaborated with a team of educators to develop a standardized curriculum for children aged 3–10. My focus was on building strong, positive working relationships with my colleagues to ensure our teaching methods were inclusive of our community’s diverse backgrounds. I consistently sought and incorporated feedback from other teachers to create a supportive environment for both staff and students. Our collaborative efforts led to student enrollment doubling in the first year, providing the momentum needed to expand the masjid grounds and grow our community programs.

During my study abroad program in Japan, I analyzed the efficiency of sustainable public transportation to propose improved transit solutions for the United States. I utilized various digital research tools and databases to access and synthesize complex data from both international and domestic sources, significantly improving my research efficiency. I ensured the ethical use of this data while adapting to new technological environments abroad to build a data-driven policy proposal. This effective use of technology resulted in a high-impact report that earned me a $1,500 scholarship from the Colburn Student Opportunity Fund.
